ABOUT KARHT

This blog is a collection of writings, representing my experiences living with mental illness. These passages represent a snapshot of what I experience in my day-to-day life. They are written in a moment of intense feeling as a way of releasing some of the pressures and surrendering my pain onto the page.

As they are a window into my emotions and are written in the moment, you may find some of the passages are quite scattered and hard to understand. This would be due to the nature of how I was feeling at that time. I am not a writer but use these passages as a release, a way to relieve the tension and clear away some of the noise in my head, also to try and spare my family of the “madness”. I have chosen to share them in the hopes that they may shine a light on what it is like to live in the mind of a person living with mental illness, in my case major depressive disorder anxiety disorder, and bipolar.

 

You may recognise yourself in some of the writings or perhaps it will give you some perspective on the emotions that a friend or partner may be going through. I realise that everybody’s experiences are different, and this is a little look at mine.
